Privacy policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This policy explains what personal information the Praxis Wellness website collects, why, and what you can do about it. Praxis Wellness follows British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Sartaj Sandhu, Registered Clinical Counsellor, is responsible for privacy at Praxis Wellness.

Self-checks

Self-checks on this website run in your browser. Your individual answers and your score are not sent to us unless you choose to send your results to the counsellor.

To see your results, you're asked for your email address. When you sign up, we receive your email, which self-check you took (so we can send the matching guide), and, if you came from one of our ads, which ad it was.

Information you choose to send

If you send your results to the counsellor, send a question using the "Ask a question first" form, ask to be contacted, or sign up for emails, we collect the information you send: your name, email, phone number (if you give it), your choices, any question you write, and the results and answers you choose to include. Form submissions are processed by our website host, Netlify. Email sign-ups are managed by our email provider, MailerLite. Both may store information on servers outside Canada. We use this information only to respond to you or to send the emails you asked for.

If information you send becomes part of your care, it is added to your secure clinical record in Jane, our practice management system.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect your name, email or self-check answers. It records general information such as the page visited, the type of device and browser, and the country the visit came from.

Google Ads

We advertise on Google Search. If you arrive on this website by clicking one of our Google ads, Google's advertising tag loads for that visit so we can count how many ad visitors click "Book free consultation". It may set a Google cookie to link the booking click to the ad. It does not receive your name, email, booking details or self-check answers, and it does not run on the self-checks page. If you arrive any other way, no Google advertising code is loaded.

Referrals from lawyers and other professionals

If a lawyer or other professional refers someone using our referral form, we collect the referrer's contact details and the information needed to contact and schedule the person referred, with that person's consent. Referral forms are processed by our website host, Netlify. Information needed for the person's care is added to their secure clinical record in Jane.

Booking and payments

Appointments are booked through Jane, our secure practice management system. Online payments for programs are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.

How long we keep information

Website form submissions are stored securely by Netlify and kept only as long as they are needed to respond to you and provide care. Clinical information is kept in Jane, in line with the record-keeping requirements for Registered Clinical Counsellors in BC. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@praxiswellness.ca. If you have a concern we can't resolve, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
